Returns and refund policy

We would like to ask you to think carefully about your purchase all times, in order to avoid unnecessary costs. The purchase can be returned unworn and unused and in its original packaging within 14 days of receipt. As a sender, you are always responsible for the package until we have received it in good order.

To request a return:

1. Send an email to vntglabel@gmail.com with the subject ‘return request, your order number’ and the reason for return request.
2. Once we have accepted your return, you will receive instructions on how to return your order. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
3. Jewelry above €100 MUST be returned insured. The shipping costs are for your own account.
4. The item(s) must be returned to the entrepreneur in original condition, with attached (price) card and/or tie-wrap and in the original packaging including accessories. It is essential that the (price) card and/or tie-wrap is not removed from the product. If the (price) card and/or tie-wrap is attached in a different way than how we originally attached it, we unfortunately cannot accept the return.
5. Also, always mention the sender + order number. When sender is not mentioned, we cannot proceed to payment. Have you unexpectedly forgotten to mention your details. Please contact vntglabel@gmail.com.
6. Please provide us with a track & trace code for the return package. Without the corresponding tracking number, we are unable to adequately track the package, making it difficult for us to be present for its receipt.
7. After the consumer has expressed his desire to exercise his right of withdrawal within 14 days of delivery, the consumer must return the product within 14 days.

When we have received the return in good order, we will let you know that the refund has been initiated. Within 14 working days the purchase amount will be refunded.

Shipping costs will not be refunded.

Exchanges

Unfortunately, it is not possible to exchange. If you would like to purchase a new item, please return your unwanted goods to us (please read the terms and conditions under the heading ‘returns’) and place a new order online.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Sewing Course Terms & Conditions

All classes take place at:

VNTG Atelier
Papengracht 23, Leiden

Accessibility

Our sewing studio is located in the basement (souterrain) of Papengracht 23. Unfortunately, the space is not wheelchair accessible. We truly wish we could welcome everyone, and we’re always happy to think along with you about possible alternatives or future options.

What’s Included

• Tea & coffee with a nostalgic snack at every class
  • Use of sewing machines and basic tools
  • Project manual for your course
  • Personal guidance in a small group

Materials

You’ll work with your own fabric and supplies. A few weeks before the course starts, you’ll receive an email with exactly what you need to bring for each lesson.

Start & End Times

Please arrive 5–10 minutes before the start. We begin and end on time so everyone gets the full experience.

What if my project isn’t finished?

Our lessons are designed so you can complete your project within the course. We’ve built in “Quick Fixes” in the basic lessons if you feel you’re falling behind.

If you don’t have a sewing machine at home and need extra time, you’re welcome to rent a machine at our Papengracht studio for €7.50 per hour during daytime hours. A suitable moment can be arranged in consultation.

Minimum Participants

A class runs with a minimum of 5 participants. If fewer people sign up, we’ll look for a suitable solution together – either new dates or a full refund.

Cancellations & Payments

• 4 weeks before start: full refund
  • 14–28 days before start: 50% refund
  • Less than 14 days before start: no refund
  • In case of illness: no refund, but we’ll try to find a suitable alternative date.

Force Majeure (overmacht)

In case of unforeseen circumstances (including too few participants), VNTG Atelier may cancel a class. You’ll receive either new dates or a full refund.

Conditions of Participation & Liability

Participation in courses is at your own risk. VNTG Atelier accepts no liability for any material damage and/or personal injury that may occur during the classes. Participants are responsible for any damage they cause.

If the participant is a minor, the parent or legal guardian is responsible.

Course Levels

• Beginner– No prior sewing knowledge required.
  • Advanced (with prior knowledge required) – Kimono Course, Reversible Jacket Course, Gilet Course, Bring Your Own Project.

Course Types

Bring Your Own Project

– Three evenings of 2 hours.

– Please email us your project idea at least 2 weeks in advance so we can prepare the lessons.

Bring Your Own Project does not guarantee that your project will be finished within three lessons. You are welcome to continue working on your project at home in between classes!

Beginner Sewing Course

– Three evenings of 2 hours.

– Perfect for learning the basics and making your first garment.

Kimono Course

– Three evenings of 2 hours.

– Fabric must be cut beforehand. You’ll receive a pattern kit that must be picked up before the first lesson and brought to class.

One Day Beginner Sewing Course

– One full day: 10:00 – 16:00.

– Includes lunch, coffee/tea and snack.

Reversible Jacket Course

– Three evenings of 2 hours.

– Fabric must be cut beforehand. You’ll receive a pattern kit that must be picked up before the first lesson and brought to class.

Gilet Course

-Two evenings of 2 hours.

Fabric must be cut beforehand. You’ll receive a pattern kit that must be picked up before the first lesson and brought to class.
